QCUSD Technology Classroom Teacher of the Month
Queen Creek, Ariz. - QCUSD teachers are nominated by their peers for the Technology Classroom Teacher of the Month. Secondary teacher from Queen Creek High School, Kylee Bean, is the secondary Technology Classroom Teacher of the month for May 2012 and Beverly Nichols from Jack Barnes Elementary is our elementary Technology Teacher of the Month.
 
Queen Creek Unified School District has implemented a technology program for all classrooms that has been funded by a voter approved bond election in 2010. It is the goal of the district to train all teachers and recognize the wonderful work that is done everyday in the classroom to help promote technology use by students.

Queen Creek honors former Town Council member for service to the community

Queen Creek, Ariz. - Queen Creek Town Council member John Alston recently announced his resignation from the Council because of a move out of Queen Creek due to work obligations, leaving two years remaining of his four-year term. During its May 16 meeting, the Council recognized his service to the community and presented him with a token of the Town's appreciation.

The Queen Creek Town Council will be accepting applications to fill Alston's seat for the remainder of his term until June 2014. Those wishing to apply to fill the remaining two years of Alston's post should submit a letter and resume to Town Clerk Jennifer Robinson by 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31.
